Meet the team

Change Lives
Team in action
Up to what?
Why we do this?

why

The team is made up of 7-10 young people who have committed themselves to serve for a year. These young people are equipped with practical skills including the Arts as well as theoretical content to Reach, Evangelize and Disciple youth and children within the local corps/church and community context. The programme starts mid January and ends early December.

We do this because we believe,

The purpose of the SOS Mission Team is to develop young people through the power of the Holy Spirit to become radical disciples of Jesus Christ, equipping them with practical Christian Ministry skills to Reach the lost, Evangelize the world and Disciple each person toward Christian relationship.

We hope to do this through:

  • Evangelising the lost, hence the name SOS (Save Other Souls).
  • Providing a radical and diverse year of ministry experience.
  • Developing young people through a combination of teaching and hand-on experience, endeavoring to help the realize their potential in Christ
  • Working in partnership with local corps / church / division by providing additional manpower and energy, helping them to develop and implement strategies for growth and increased effectiveness in their communities.
The SOS Mission Team has been in existance now for more than 10 years. The Team trains for 3 months, 7 months is spent on the road, and close to 2 months is spent in preparing the team to go back home (re-entry phase)
